From a Lost Age... HORROR Crawls from the Depths of the Earth!

Mock-up Kit Issued: 1993

Also among the proposed "Dream Kits" was that great
pickle-headed beast, the Mole Man. The pose struck by
the critter in the box art is undeniably "Aurora-esque!"

The Mole People-1956
Studio: Universal

Cast: John Agar, Cynthia Patrick, Hugh Beaumont, Alan Napier
Director: Virgil Vogel

Scientists exploring the mountain ranges of Asia encounter the lost underground city of Sumeria, ruled by albinos and infested with ugly, wart-like mole creatures. A fun, H. Rider Haggard-esque adventure, this was Universal's last attempt at creating another monster franchise. The cast features contract tough-guy John ("Stop!") Agar, as well as two men who would forever leave their marks on television: Hugh Beaumont, who was "Ward Cleaver" in Leave It To Beaver, and Alan Napier, better known as "Alfred the Butler" on TV's Batman.
