This little gem sat around in a closet, got boxed up and bounced around between a couple of apartments before it finally landed on my workbench and I finally sat down and gave it the attention it deserved. It was a pleasure... |

12/17/00 - "This is a Luminators kit that looks to be complete. No painting required, model glows in the light" is what the eBay description read. A little vague perhaps, but I got the thing for $1.25 plus shipping! Minus shipping, that's less than the original kit cost back in '63! Can't beat that with a stick! We'll see if all the pieces really are there. 1/12/01 - I received the kit a week ago, and it is perfect! Every piece is there, even the little lizard (lower corner) which appears in the instructions for the original Aurora kit, but not the Monogram reissue. Thanks Critton ! |

The disgusting clear orange parts, meant to glow in black light, will soon be painted over, thankfully! (Personally, I think the whole "Luminator" concept was ridiculous, but at least it kept these great kits in production!) This is going to be a blast, and a real trip down Memory Lane, to build! I have yet to get to this kit. However it is the next Aurora figure kit on my list. I recently completed Dr Jekyll and King Kong, so I'm feeling juiced up again! Stay tuned...
